How to read the AED to INR history

The chart plots the mid-market rate, which is the wholesale midpoint between buyers and sellers. It is not the rate a bank gives you. A bank or exchange house quotes below this line and keeps the gap, so the shape of the chart tells you where the market has been, while the house comparison tells you what you can actually get today.

What the 7d chart shows

Over this period the AED to INR rate moved between ₹25.85 and ₹25.93, averaging ₹25.89. The change from the first to the last reading was -0.02%.

Across the last seven days, the highest hourly rate we recorded in GST was around 25.89 at 04:00 Dubai time, based on 8 days of readings. That is a few paise above the week's average, so treat it as a pattern rather than a guarantee.

Short ranges vs long ranges

The 24-hour and 7-day views use hourly readings, so they show intraday movement. The 30-day and 1-year views use daily closing rates, which smooth out the noise and make month-level trends easier to see. On a typical day the rate moves by a few paise; over a month, a percent or two is normal.

What moves the rate

The dirham is pegged to the dollar, so most of the movement comes from the rupee. A week where the rupee weakens against the dollar shows up here as a rising AED to INR line; a week where it strengthens shows a falling one. Daily swings are usually a few paise, and a move of 1% in a month is large enough to notice.

RBI policy meetings, oil prices and the monthly remittance flow into India all leave marks on the chart. None of them tell you what tomorrow looks like, which is why the history is more useful for setting a target than for timing one.

Reading the stats row

The high and low are the extremes inside the selected range, and the average is the mean of every reading. A wide high-to-low band means the rate moved a lot in that period; a narrow one means it was stable. The change figure compares the first and last reading, so a +0.40% on the 30-day view means the rate ended 0.40% higher than it started a month ago.

Using history to plan a transfer

History is useful for setting a realistic target, not for predicting tomorrow. If the rate has spent the last month between ₹25.60 and ₹25.90, a target of ₹26.20 is unlikely to trigger soon, while ₹25.75 will. The live AED to INR rate today page shows the current number, and the Android app can alert you when your target is reached.
