AED to INR rate today

One UAE dirham buys ₹25.86 at the mid-market rate right now. That figure is the midpoint between what buyers and sellers quote in the wholesale currency market, and it is the number banks and exchange houses work from when they set their own AED to INR rate.

Over the past 24 hours the rate stayed between ₹25.86 and ₹25.86, a change of 0.00% against yesterday.

What 100, 500, 1,000 AED is in INR today

Most people sending money from the UAE to India are not converting a single dirham. These are the amounts at today's rate:

AEDINR at today's rate
100 AED₹2,585.82
500 AED₹12,929.10
1,000 AED₹25,858.20
5,000 AED₹129,291.00
10,000 AED₹258,582.00

These use the mid-market rate. What you actually receive depends on the margin your bank or exchange house takes, which is why comparing houses matters.

Bank rate vs exchange house rate

The mid-market rate is not the rate you get. A bank or exchange house quotes slightly below it and keeps the difference. On a typical AED to INR transfer that margin runs from under 1% at the cheapest exchanges to 3% or more at banks. At ₹25.8 per dirham, a 2% margin costs about ₹0.52 on every dirham you send — on 5,000 AED that is roughly ₹2,600.

LuLu Exchange currently quotes the highest collected rate at ₹25.87 per dirham. That is +0.05% against the mid-market rate.

The table above shows every house we track, ranked by rate. The percentage column is the gap against mid-market, so a house at +0.10% is charging you less than one at −0.80%.

When the rate tends to be better

Intraday movement is small: the rate usually shifts by a few paise during a day. It is more useful to watch your own target than to chase a time of day. If you send a fixed amount every month, setting a rate alert in the free Android app means you get told when the rate reaches the number you wanted, instead of checking a chart every morning.

Why the AED to INR rate moves

The dirham is pegged to the US dollar at about 3.6725, so the AED to INR rate mostly follows the dollar against the rupee. When the rupee weakens against the dollar, one dirham buys more rupees; when it strengthens, it buys less. That is why the number here can drift for weeks in one direction without anything changing in the UAE.

Oil prices, India's trade balance, interest rate decisions by the RBI and the Federal Reserve, and the flow of remittances all feed into the rupee side. None of it is predictable day to day, and a forecast is only worth acting on if you already have money to send.

What to check before you send

Four numbers decide what actually lands in your account:

For a monthly transfer of 2,000 AED, a 1% difference in the rate is about ₹516. Comparing two houses before each transfer is usually worth more than waiting a week for a better rate.

How often these rates update

The mid-market rate refreshes roughly every hour from UniRateAPI. Exchange house rates are collected from the houses' own pages every two hours. Every rate on this page shows when it was last updated, and nothing is shown as live if it is older than three hours.

These rates are indicative. Confirm with your bank or exchange house before transferring. House quotes change during the day and can differ from what is listed here.

Questions about the AED to INR rate

What is 1 AED in INR today?

Today 1 AED is ₹25.86 at the mid-market rate. The rate you get from a bank or exchange house will be slightly lower because of their margin.

How often does the AED to INR rate update?

The mid-market rate updates about once an hour. Exchange house rates are collected every two hours. The page shows the last update time next to each rate.

Why is the exchange house rate lower than the mid-market rate?

Is it a good time to send money to India?

Nobody can call the rate in advance. What works is setting a target: decide the rate you are happy with, then send when the market reaches it. That is what the app's rate alerts are for.
